One of our most precious commodities for life on Earth is clean water, yet ocean pollution affects nearly a thousand animal species around the world – including people. The life of a child - curious, healthy and engaged – is one of our most precious resources. But for more than a billion people around the world, clean water is nearly impossible to get and polluted water makes us sick, especially children. At the California MBA and CMG Financial we care deeply about our oceans and about children. We are proud to invest in efforts that promote clean, sustainable water and we make caring for vulnerable families with sick children a priority.
We’ve teamed up with San Diego Coast Keeper, a nonprofit organization that protects and restores swimmable, fishable and drinkable waters in San Diego County, to launch Operation Coastal Clean-Up, benefiting the MBA Opens Doors Foundation. Opens Doors provides housing grants to families with critically-ill children, making it possible for a parent to be by a sick child’s side without worrying about keeping a roof over their heads.
Here’s how Operation Coastal Clean-Up works:
Three ways to participate:
Get your company to sponsor a team of five volunteers with a contribution of $5,000.
Join our merry band of volunteers as a solo participant. For a contribution of $100, we’ll group folks together in teams to compete for prizes and help a family in need.
Support the Opens Doors cause even if you can't be there. We welcome your support!
For all attendees, join us for a post clean-up picnic. We'll have tasty treats and lots to talk about.
