Resources and Support

No single organization can be everything to every family, which why we work with a network of organizations that provide support for things that MBA Opens Doors Foundation does not fund.  Below are some of those amazing organizations.

Homeowner-Help.org is a web based service that connects homeowners with the resources and assistance they may need when facing times of financial hardship.   Visitors to the site are asked a few simple questions about a homeowner's situation, which allows the site to return a list of relevant resources in a homeowner's area. The site does not require any confidential information nor is your information shared outside of Homeowner-Help.org.

Family Reach is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to removing the financial barriers standing between cancer patients and their treatment — such as loss of income, increased out-of-pocket expenses, and socioeconomic factors. When faced with these financial barriers, families have to make impossible decisions like choosing between paying for treatment or basic essentials like housing, food, and transportation. No family should have to choose between their health and their home.

Colorado Homeownership Coalition (CHC) assists individuals and families who own a home in Colorado, but have fallen behind on their mortgage due to a dislocating event, such as a medical emergency, loss of a job or other traumatic event. Support offered by CHC can be determined within two weeks of an individual's application. The process is easy.  The first step for families in need of assistance, is for them check out the CHC website, contact a representative or call the CHC at (720) 458-5828 to learn more.
